Surfer's Camp Site

Surfer's Camp Site
From the surfing in the '70s series by Garry Birdsall

Venturing off the beaten track in the 1970s, we discovered some of the best surf spots on the planet. This remote bush and beach scene was typical of Australia's hidden coastline back then. Uncrowded, upspoilt, great surf and camping basics were a surfers dream come true.

The old style plywood caravan arrived via the horse power of a 1976 Ford Fairmount Station Wagon. A few mates arrive in the iconic 1971 Kombi Bus and camp nearby on the grass.
